Do Primpins work on all types of bedding?
Primpins will work on almost any kind of fabric duvet cover, as long as you can insert a pin through it. They will work with both down or synthetic comforters and most thicknesses. If you have particularly thick or heavy bedding, you may wish to add extra Primpins along the edges for added security. If you are not able to fasten Primpins onto your bedding, please feel free to return them for a full refund.
Do Primpins work on all bedding sizes?
Yes, Primpins can be used on Twin, Full, Queen, King, or California King size comforters and duvet covers. At a minimum, four Primpins must be attached - one on each corner - in order to keep your comforter from shifting. For larger sizes (Queen, King, and California King), we recommend using eight Primpins - four in the corners, and four along the edges between the corners.
Will Primpins damage my bedding?
When used properly, Primpins should not damage your bedding. Since they are pin fasteners, you will be poking a "hole" into your bedding. However, this hole is usually temporary, since the fabric fibers are typically pushed aside instead of torn when the pin is inserted. The hole usually disappears after your bedding is washed. Once the Primpins are fastened to your bed, do not pull or tug on them sideways against your bedding. Any pin fastener, including safety pins, can rip fabric if they are pulled forcefully.
I already have corner ties. Why do I need Primpins?
If you already have ties on your comforter, and/or duvet cover, lucky you (or good for you if you've sewn them yourself!). Not all comforters or covers do. In order to use these, you need ties on both your comforter AND cover, so you can tie the corners together. Some people have success with corner ties, but many people find them to be a hassle. Primpins are much easier deal with, since they simply twist on and off, and are placed on the outside of your cover. Additionally, some people like to use Primpins as decorative accents, even if they don't actually need duvet fasteners.
